We are currently taking applications to fill possible FUTURE Patient Accounts Specialist positions.
This position will have overall responsibility for reviewing, maintaining and collecting accounts receivable and includes follow-up with patients/insurance companies.
Specific responsibilities will include posting all insurance and personal payments to patient accounts, issuing refunds, following up on billing and insurance issues, answering questions from patients and insurance companies, reconciling cash, processing patient statements, preparing bank deposits as well as other duties that may be assigned.
Our ideal candidates will have a high school degree (or equivalent) and 1-2 years prior billing and/or medical office experience in a similar role. Strong customer service skills are required. The position requires considerable patience, dependability and accuracy. Stressful situations may arise while working with patients.
We are looking for someone who also possesses excellent communication skills (written and verbal), is able work independently as well as with a team, has good planning and organizational skills, is able to prioritize, and has the ability to establish and maintain positive, professional relationships. Flexibility is also key to this position.
